OX Bar De Tapas

Food & Beverage

This crowd-pleasing Spanish restaurant was reenergized by channeling FRANK and their client’s mutual love of Barcelona. Reopened in spring of 2017 as Ox Bar de Tapas, this contemporary Calgary eatery came to life with a reimagined design inspired by the spirit of Spanish dining.

With a curated mix of patterned tile, Carrara marble, industrial-style lighting, patterned banquettes, and schoolhouse chairs, the space is a welcome respite to diners seeking an authentic yet cutting-edge dining experience.

The renovation included relocating the central bar and removing a dividing partition to create an inclusive dining experience and a lively, open atmosphere. The repurposed hardwood floor was given added character with the addition of a patterned Spanish tile inlay. Warm wood millwork with inset mirrors, cozy dining nooks and soft arched details throughout are a nod to the Spanish architecture the FRANK team is so moved by.
