Bridgette Bar
Food & Beverage
739 10 Ave SW,
Calgary, AB
T2R 0B3
This chef-driven restaurant in Calgary’s Beltline neighbourhood opened in the fall of 2016 and has taken the Canadian dining scene by storm ever since. Heavily inspired by the movers and shakers of the 1960s and ’70s, Bridgette Bar’s interior is welcoming and unpretentious, yet executed with extreme attention to detail, from the mid-century cone wood-burning fireplace to the abundance of hanging plants, macramé and commissioned art.
The unique lower bar, which features green marble and leather stools reminiscent of the era, welcomes guests and encourages them to stay awhile. The honesty of the expansive industrial building was maintained throughout, providing several nooks and crannies to create pockets of unique seating areas, including a private dining room and a mid-mod lounge furnished with vintage lighting, layered textures and plenty of era-appropriate teak.
The open kitchen anchors the main dining area, which takes full advantage of the lofty brick-and-beam space with oversized art, wall-mounted motorcycles, hanging terrariums, and swathes of natural light.
