Nestled within a bustling mall environment, the Rocky retail space is a nature-inspired sanctuary designed to foster discovery, reflection, and connection. As a retail location for a heritage personal care brand, the space draws on elements of calm intentionality and tactile engagement. With deep roots in natural formulation and small-batch production, the store’s design is a direct extension of the brand’s thoughtful, nature-grounded ethos.

The concept was inspired by the brand’s intimate connection to nature and its commitment to careful formulation. Every design element—from the choice of natural materials to the subdued, immersive lighting—was selected to mirror the brand’s quiet confidence and expertise. A subtle laboratory narrative woven through the space pays homage to the brand’s beginnings in research and development, reflecting both innovation and history in equal measure.

The space features a centerpiece Customer Experience Sink crafted from natural Avocatus Quartzite, encouraging customers to interact directly with the product in a tactile, unpretentious way. A vintage-inspired Apothecary Display nods to the brand’s manufacturing roots, highlighting small-batch production and scientific precision. The Storefront Design, styled like a vintage shopfront, transitions visitors from the fast-paced retail atmosphere into a warm, story-rich environment, drawing them into a slower, more meaningful retail experience.

VISIONARY SOLUTIONS

One of the most unique challenges was integrating fully functional plumbing into the sculptural sink centerpiece without compromising the visual integrity of the design. This centerpiece, designed for guest interaction, demanded precision engineering and creativity, especially in a mall context where a natural narrative had to be carefully constructed and maintained within a highly commercial space.
